I Won and a Review

I entered a giveaway over at Little Petite, a wonderful blog, so head on over!  And guess what?? I won!

I was super excited!  Like EXTREMELY excited, because the giveaway was a bunch of Burt's Bees products, which I love, not only because I like what they stand for, but because I really like their products.

Want to see what I got?

I'm a lucky girl right?

Some of the products that I got I already use, so it was perfect getting an extra lip balm!

Something new that I was introduced to through this was their facial towelettes:

Clean sweep.
{via}
Oh.my.goodness.. They're perfect for being able to wash your face after a long day when you don't really feeling like taking off your makeup, cleaning out the pores, etc.  These are being added to my must have list.

So stop by the blog Little Petite for a visit, she's super sweet.  If you have a chance, try out the towelettes and let me know what you think!

WIAW #6 Valentines Day & OOTD

How are you ladies recovering from your Valentines Day??  I had a lot of fun!  Lee and I went out to dinner and had a little movie date afterwards.  The food that I ate yesterday was wonderfully delicious and I'm super excited to show you what I ate, so I'm linking up with Jenn over at Peas and Crayons to talk about my food and veggies.  You should too!

This is what I ate:

Breakfast: English Muffin w/ PB and some dark chocolate, banana, & v8 juice

Right after breakfast: Emergen-C packet, vita-gummies

Lunch: turkey burger, salad w/ carrots, & vinaigrette

Snack: Annies Chocolate Bunnies, applesauce

Now for the good stuff, Valentines Day dinner:

Appetizers: pepper jack soup, mussels in white wine sauce

Dinner: I got a buffalo chicken salad,
Lee got steak w/ onions and mushrooms and rice pilaf
They both were pretty yummy, even though Lee's was better ;)

This was the first time that I've had mussels and I have to say, I loved them.  I was pleasantly surprised.  The sauce that they came with was super garlicky, so I couldn't go wrong with that! Did you eat any fun goodies??

Here's what I wore to the dinner:

We had a ton of fun last night, it was difficult to wake up this morning!

Have a wonderful week, from the both of us!

Tasty Tuesday: Giant Breakfast Cookies

I introduced you to these cookies this past Wednesday and told you that I would post the recipe.  I'm super happy to do it, because honestly, these cookies are awesome.

It also helps that they're not totally bad for me!

So, here they are in all of their glory:

Ingredients:

1 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup honey
2 eggs
1 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. baking soda
1t. vanilla
1/2 cup milk
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups whole rolled oats
1 cup dried fruit (I like cranberries)
1 cup dark chocolate chips

Directions:

Mix butter, honey, eggs, salt cinnamon, soda, vanilla, and milk.  Stir in flour and oats.  Fold in fruit and chocolate.

Scoop dough onto cookie sheet and bake for about 12-17 min. (depending on the consistency you like your cookies to be.)

Now, time to eat, YUM!

I adapted this recipe from this website here.  If you've never been there, go and check it out.  She has delicious and healthy recipes.

I'm also linking up with 33 Shades of Green for Tasty Tuesdays!

The Start of Something Great

This Monday has significance for me.  It'll be the first day of training for my half-ironman in June.  So excited, but super scary!

I can't wait to keep you all updated on how it goes.

Here's my schedule for the week from trinewbies.com:

Date
Swim
Bike
Run
WK-1

Mon
(#1) 1000 yds. a.m.
20 miles. p.m.

Tues
(#2) 1000 yds. a.m

40 min p.m.
Wed

Thur
(#3) 1000 yds. a.m

30 min p.m.
Fri

Sat

It'll be a new accomplishment for me.  I've done two triathlons in the past, but not so much distance.

A half-ironman is: 1.2 Mile Swim, 56 Mile Bike, 13.1 Mile Run.

Have you ever thought about doing a triathlon or have you ever done one in the past??  It would be wonderful to have some of your insight!!

Wish me luck and have a wonderful week!

Happy Friday and a Discount

Since I've been working with Arbonne it's been exciting to hear all of the positive feedback about my products and see how the different products enhance my own life (skin, health, and hair.)

I've been lucky enough to be able to test out a variety of Arbonne's products because I'm a consultant and also because I get a pretty good discount when I buy my own products.

I know I posted about it before, but Arbonne has health and wellness products that are pure, safe, and beneficial, which basically means that they're vegan certified, plant based products, formulated without dyes or chemicals.

Pretty awesome right? Especially for us girls that are trying to "go green" or improve our little part of the planet.

Here are some of the products that I've really noticed a difference with:

FC5 Shower Set
Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash- $51.00
I've tried a lot of the different "green friendly" shampoo and conditioners and none of them have worked for me.  To be honest, I was a little nervous about trying these because in my head I was thinking "what if these don't work like all the other ones?" But, YAY!! They ended up being awesome and they smell super good!

Makeup Primer
Primer- 36.00
I love this primer!! It honestly makes a HUGE difference when I put it on.  It's like Spackle for my face.  It makes everything nice and smooth so when I put on my foundation I'm not a hot mess.
SeaSource Detox Spa Re-Mineralizing Body Lotion 24H
24 hr. Moisturizer- $50.00
I have extremely dry skin in the winter.  I mean EXTREMELY dry.  Which is understandable because where I live the winter's are pretty harsh.  This lotion has been a game changer for me.  I'm not scratching my legs like a crazy lady by the end of the day when I'm wearing this.
It's awesome.

SeaSource Detox Spa Renewing Body Gelée
Body Gelee- 47.50
This is a wonderful product that's used to relieve tension.  Who's been busy/stressed/working out this year?  I know I have been.  Basically, you put it on wherever there is tension (even headaches) and it helps take it away.  It even pulls lactic acid out after a heavy workout.

Natural Radiance Mineral Powder Foundation with SPF 15, Medium
Powder Foundation- $38
This makes my skin sparkle like I'm a beautiful Goddess.  Enough said :)

BefoRE Sun Lip Saver Sunscreen SPF 30
Lip Saver- $8.00
I don't know if you're like me but I am constantly applying and re-applying my lip saver.  It has a nice mintyish feel and it glides on smoothly.  It also rocks a SPF 30, you can't go wrong.

Basically, I wanted to introduce you to some of my favorite products thus far.  I'm really looking forward to trying the protein shakes next.  I'll let you ladies know how that goes.

OH, and another thing.  I'm offering my consultant shopping price this weekend because of Valentines Day.  You can get 35% off my favorite products or find your own favorite products on Arbonne.com.

E-mail me at mandy.orangeautumn@gmail.com if you want to place an order.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL and happy weekend!

WIAW #5 Hungry All Day

Do you ever have those days where you can't stop eating??

Yesterday was that day for me.  I honestly could NOT feel full.  So, of course, yesterday was the day that I was taking pictures of what I was eating for WIAW.  That means you'll get to see the madness ;)

There's a theme this month with Jenn over at Peas and Crayons: Love Your Veggies.  I feel like I've been loving my veggies, have you?

Here's what I ate yesterday:

Breakfast: green tea, banana, pumpkin spice granola bar,
emergen-c packet, gummy vitamins

Lunch: two chicken wraps on whole wheat w/ peppers, cheddar, sour cream, and a kiwi

Snack: choc. chip grahams w/ pb

Dinner: chicken nachos w/ peppers, ginger ale

Snack: orange, string cheese

Snack: breakfast cookie- whole wheat, oats, honey, dark chocolate

So, I had my servings of fruits/veggies, but man, did I eat!

I'll definitely be sharing my recipe for the chicken wrap and breakfast cookies, they're both SUPER delicious.

Link up with Jenn to see what everyone else is eating and share about yourself!

Lust Love Need: Spring Dresses

I had a wonderful weekend, relaxing and filled with time spent with friends and my family.  It doesn't get much better than that, right?

Friday night we had a little get-together at the new apt (yay!) and played the game sequence, my bf and I KILLED at it!  We also watched an awful horror flick.  One of those where you laugh more than you're scared.  It ended up being a lot of fun.

Then on Saturday we spent the day running errands, eating dinner with Lee's parents, and watching the 40 year old virgin.  I can't help but love Steve Carell.

Sunday was the SUPER BOWL, of course, and we all know that football isn't my forte, but I'll tell you what is: All the delightful foods I ate. Yummmmmy!! Loved it.  Homemade pizza, pretzels, buffalo wings, and diet coke, here I come :)  It ended up being a lot of fun, my bf's friends are pretty hysterical, so they're entertaining  by themselves.

And guess what?? Absolutely NO pictures were taken!! How horrible am I?

Overall, awesome weekend though!  How was yours?

Now, on to the good stuff:   Lust, Love, Need: Spring Dresses Edition.

You know, this is one of my favorite things to do.  I love to find awesome clothes and show you how to get them at a price you can afford.

Here's what I hope to be rocking this spring:

Macys- 348.00

Asos- 170.10

Forever 21- 29.80

So, which one is your favorite??  I'm loving a lot of the new dresses for spring.

Happy Shopping!

I hope you understand.  I think all of this activity is finally catching up with me, but on a lighter note: I'm VERY excited to show you my haircut and pictures of my new apt/bedroom.  Who wants to come over for game night this Friday??  I KNOW I'll be feeling better!  I've been taking my vitamin C, tea, and multiples like crazy.
