WIAW #3 Insanity

I've been doing the Insanity program for 17 days now.  I have to say, I love it.  I'm doing it with a group of people, so that makes in A LOT more motivating.

So, you ask, what is Insanity? It's a 60 day "total body conditioning program."  Which means, it kicks my butt on the regular.

Despite the butt kicking (or probably because of it) I've really liked it so far and truth be told it allows me to think about my food intake a little more because I don't want to be dying while I'm doing the workout.

Being light-headed and working out is pretty much the worst feeling... well that and having to much caffeine (oh man do I bounce.)

So this is a WIAW Insanity edition.. fueling my workouts with food.  Love it!

Breakfast: Greek Yogurt w/ honey, almonds, strawberries, and flax
Snack: Kashi Oatmeal and Choc Chip Cookie with PB and Coffee w/  Cream
Snack2: V8 juice (I accidently grabbed the original, it's usually low sodium)  organic crackers, and mozz. string cheese.

Dinner: Flat Out with ricotta, garlic, mozz, and chicken along with a side salad and onion dressing (LOVE)
Snack3: cheerios with skim milk and hot chocolate
Now, you know I ate extras, and you know I didn't take pictures of it :) I have girls nights on Tuesdays and this is usually the day I take pictures so in order to not look like a complete creepo I'm not interested, I refrain from taking any pictures during our movie night.  I had popcorn, a handful of pretzel m&m's, and water, not so bad right??

I'm linking up with Jenn today over at Peas and Crayons... I hope you will too.  I love finding new ways to re-create delish foods in a healthy way.

What does your food look like when your maintaining a solid workout plan??  Any suggestions for me?

  3. Congrats to day 17 of Insanity. I did p90x with my husband and didn't have great results like he did. I've been told Insanity might be better for me since it's more cardio based. (I think, anyway.) I try to get my fruits and veggie servings for the day, everyday, and load up on protein from meats, veggies, dairy, and whey. I used to eat strawberries with greek yogurt until I read that strawberries can slow your metabolism and that it's best to stay away from them if you have thyroid problems, which I do. :)
